I have used for some time already 1TB Crucial MX500 and it broke down unexpectedly. Whoever things SSDs will last forever is very wrong. SSDs not only do not last forever but they can be "gone" anytime without warnings. So, as I have mentioned many many many times in my videos, always do backup!

With this out of our way, I had to replace it so my choice now is Samsung 870 QVO of 2TB. The main reason is it has a better TBW (although the previous one left my world without reaching the TBW) and no other valid reason.

I will only do some speed tests in macOS and Windows 11 and will throw also other SSDs in the mix for comparison:
- Adata SU650 of 512GB and 120GB
- Kingston KS600 of 256GB
