Assetto Corsa Rally has launched in Early Access, and I took the time to really test the current state of the game.
This isn’t just surface-level impressions — I pushed the car physics, crashed into trees, tested Force Feedback, checked graphics performance, explored the limited content, and tried the game in several weather conditions.
If you’re curious how the game actually feels today, you can watch the full breakdown here:
What’s Inside the Video Breakdown
Hardcore Damage & Physics:
The damage system is visually impressive, but still far from behaving realistically. You can heavily damage the car, but reaching a terminal state seems almost impossible, even after hitting trees head-on.
Crowd Behavior:
NPCs react, but not always naturally.
Camera & Graphics:
I go through the available camera modes and show performance using an XFX RX 9060 XT at ultrawide 2K with FSR.
Hardware Tests:
Used Logitech Pro Wheel, Pro Shifter, and Pro Handbrake to see how the game currently handles high-end sim hardware.
Content Situation:
Right now, there are only a few cars, two locations, and a couple of stages each — but this is Early Access, and you’re essentially buying into future development.
Bugs & Oddities:
From robotic co-driver calls to the car getting stuck to trees and bouncing with no input… ACR clearly needs more work.
Final Thoughts
There’s potential, strong audio, and great environments — but also missing content and some strange physics behavior.
